Mexico City

So part of this new move in rebuilding my whole book has been the process of moving to Mexico City from Queretaro. Mexico City is like the Hollywood of latin america and the epicenter of where the work and talent is located. Without a doubt over the past month I’ve had a crazy roller coaster ride of uncertainty both in living and work situations. I have had amazing friends who’ve offered rooms and couches in their houses, people who’ve given me opportunities to work, and tons of really supportive people who’ve helped me along the way in all aspects. I really appreciate the support, help, and patience everyone has given me. I really do.

Moving to a new place is never easy… picking up a year ago and moving to Queretaro was a tough choice and one that I knew I had to do in this multi-phase process of getting to where I want to be with my work. I luckily had family in Queretaro when I moved that supported and helped me more than I could ever have imagined. BUT this move to Mexico City has been a lot harder for me. I only know only a handful of people and have no time to be out making new friends, I don’t know the city so I am constantly getting lost, and have been in this constant process of looking at apartments and trying to find a decent place to settle down….all while trying to continually find more work to be able to pay for everything…

Its hard having to start fresh… again.
